My own take is that whenever we (humans), have the audacity of imposing our view upon nature is where everything goes wrong. We should not try to do better than nature we should let her do what she wants. If we do, everything will go better.

We do not know what the future is really holding for us. In any case, Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies are a good way to diversify and, by the same token, securing some wealth.

I think that some situations require a leader but that could or must be temporary. Leadership is a form of centralization and should be avoided when possible.

Cosmic-ray particles have a lot of influence over Earth matters. They affect computers and biological systems. They also affect the weather and even Earth’s crust in earthquakes and volcanos eruptions.
Some computers are protected by a chamber made of heavy lead to offer some protection from interferences.

The search is still going very strong for Satoshi. It is only speculation for now and maybe, one day, we will find out who he really was. One thing is for sure, he (her, them) and his friends felt very strongly about decentralization. Whatever the future of Bitcoin will be, Satoshi’s main contribution to the world, in my opinion, is to show us the power of peer-to-peer and mostly decentralization.

One must be careful with software. It may seem simple, but it is not, and it is certainly not something you can force into production. It needs to be tested, tested, tested, and tested again. It will never be perfect. There will always be holes and vulnerabilities in it. These people who are expediting the production of these weak defi are not helping the decentralization movement.

My own view, on this, is that some areas inside a city center should give absolute priority to pedestrians. I mean, whenever a pedestrian wants to cross a street, by signaling his intention, all cars and bikes must stop, and let the pedestrian through. In the long run, it would reduce the density of cars, I am sure.

I had bad experiences with many kinds of ‘whole disk encryption’ schemes. They do not seem to survive the test of time. A simple one file encryption is far better and Veracrypt will do for most users. Encryption, like a lot of things, is more an economic problem than anything else. What is it that you are trying to protect, against who, and can you afford it? I think that for the average person, the answers are; What: My personal data. Against who: A possible thief. Can I afford it: Veracrypt is free.
It might not hold decrypting from some of the world’s superpower countries, but do you really need that?

Be careful out there. I know that DEFI’s are getting popular but it is also a nice ground for frauds. I would not put too much of my eggs into any of these to start with. I would start small and then build confidence. Most scammers are in a hurry to cash out anyway. If you wait a little bit, they will show their real face.

I think that anybody would be well advised to set an amount of saved money and put it in Bitcoin or other cryptos. I am saying “Do not put all your eggs in the same basket.”.

The wave is probably just starting and it will hard to stop. With all the uncertainty in the world, right now, Bitcoin is providing some stability in its growth and theoretical basis.

It is good to see these advances, but I doubt that they are actually doing the hard payroll part. Most probably, they are doing the finale stage only, which is the actual payment in form of checks or direct bank deposits. Nevertheless, this will allow some real payroll services to use them as payment processors.

This seems to be the kind of peer to peer trading that is needed. It allows two traders to trade without trusting a third entity with their money by keeping their money in their own wallet.

Another good point in favor of natural life. I think that agriculture was a necessary step in human evolution but it is time to let it go and adopt some ways of living closer to nature. I read recently that at least 25% of humanity’s intake of proteins comes from fish. A part of this is from fish farming but nevertheless, it shows that we rely heavily on some food that is not from mainstream agriculture.

I started to believe that when I was very young (around 16). It is something intriguing to think about. It is somehow logical on a certain level, since they have to fight for the same battleground, our body.

Massage is a very old practice. I once read that in order to control your stress level and the anxiety that comes with it, you have the choice of either relaxation/meditation or massage therapy (if you can afford it).
The theory goes like this; In order to eliminate the accumulated stress, you need to eliminate more that you accumulate each day. It has been observed and calculated that to get to an acceptable level of stress, a normal person, subjected to a normal dose of daily stress (noises, electromagnetic waves, social pressure, alarms, shocks, etc.), should eliminate twice that amount, daily, for a period of three (3) months.
To do that, you may have two (2) seances of meditation/relaxation of about twenty (20) minutes each day for 3 months or, if you can afford it, you should have at least two (2) full-body massages per week for thirteen (13) weeks.
With either practice, you will get to a healthy level of stress that you only need to maintain with regular relaxation/meditation or massages.
As of today (04-Nov-2020), nothing else will work.

The software developer crowd is subject to the same tendencies to fads and trends than any other portion of the general population. That is a shame. We really should control ourselves better and not let our emotions put all our eggs in the same basket.

Too many drug interactions and not enough follow up on prescriptions. It is getting more and more complicated each year. Why don’t we see any artificial intelligence in prescribing aid? Like driving a car, we could have some sort of program verifying some prescription and advising on them, leaving the final decision to the doctor-patient conversation.
